Admission to the museum takes place at a specific date and time. Select the time slot from which the specific entry time will be selected based on the museum's availability.

ATTENTION: the reservation will be confirmed for a unique schedule included in the requested time frame and the reservation will be valid exclusively during that time, therefore, we advise you to ensure your availability throughout the selected period of time with the aim of respecting the schedule assigned in the voucher. The Colosseum ticket is valid for the date and time confirmed in the voucher.

The price includes: ticket price (18.00 euro) + the audio guide of the city of Rome (9.00 euro)

It is possible to visit the Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum first (by changing the voucher at the Roman Forum) or after the visit to the Colosseum.

People with disabilities and their companion are eligible to a free ticket, providing that they have valid medical documentation of the disability - NO RESERVATION NEEDED.

For security reasons, the Soprintendenza of Rome established that the Colosseum may accommodate up to 3.000 people at once. To respect this rule, the access to the site can be subjected to delays. The Colosseum is a sensitive target, subject to security checks at the entrance, waiting in line might be necessary for security reasons at the metal detector.

No exchange, refund or cancellation of tickets is allowed.

Free price tickets are available for children under 17 years of age. If you are booking this type of discounted tickets you have to confirm (selecting YES) you belong to the favoured category.

Confirmation voucher: this reservation is subject to confirmation. The procedure may take a few hours. In case the order is submitted on Saturday, after 12:00 pm or on Sunday, vouchers will be sent on Monday morning. In case the order is submitted after 6.00 pm (Italy time), the voucher will be sent the morning after, except for Saturday afternoon. In this last case the voucher will be sent on Monday morning anyway.

How to get your tickets: the voucher must be exchanged at the Colosseum ticket office.

ATTENTION: the reservation will be confirmed for a unique schedule included in the requested time frame and the reservation will be valid exclusively during that time, therefore, we advise you to ensure your availability throughout the selected period of time with the aim of respecting the schedule assigned in the voucher. The set time is binding, the museum does not allow modifications or cancellations of the reservation once it has been confirmed. In case of delay or no-show, no refund will be possible.

Audio guide/Video guide: in order to pick up the audio guide/video guide, visitors must present, in addition to the voucher, an original Identification Document that will be held until the return of the devices which must be given back at the exit of the Museum. The Audio guided tour lasts 1 hour and 10 minutes and is available in Italian, English, French, Spanish, German, Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, Latin, Portuguese, LIS and ASL (Italian Sign Language and American Sign Language). The Video guided tour lasts 50 minutes and is available in Italian, English, French, Spanish, German, Japanese, Chinese and Portuguese.

Schedule:
Open every day from 8:30 to one hour before sunset.
Closed on January 1, May 1 and December 25. The ticket office closes one hour before the museum closes.

ATTENTION

  • For security reasons, visitors will be subject to controls.
  • It is forbidden to enter the Colosseum with backpacks, large bags or luggage. It is possible to introduce small and medium backpacks that will be subject to control with the metal detector. It is forbidden to enter the monument with bottles, glass containers, alcoholic beverages and aerosols.
  • The entrances located along Via dei Fori Imperiali are equipped with ramps. The ground floor “First Order" of the Amphitheater is accessible to people with disabilities and the first floor "Second Order" is accessible by lift.
  • We recommend wearing comfortable shoes.
